The Pantry's outreach to homebound clients has improved significantly with the donation of a delivery truck by Better Living, Inc. The truck will be used to deliver groceries to an increasing number of clients who are unable to get to the Pantry for a variety of reasons. We are very grateful for the donation and the willingness of Better Living to partner with us in improving the lives of our fellow community members.
On making the donation, Better Living, Inc. Chairman, Dick Nunley, and President, John Nunley stated, "A main desire of Better Living, Inc. is to provide assistance to individuals in our community experiencing difficult times. Suffering can be diverse and invisible. This is why it is so important to recognize and come to the aid of those desperate for food, shelter, and support. Better Living, Inc., is proud to participate in this process by sponsoring nonprofit organizations that help meet the basic needs for those at risk in our community. Better Living has been a longtime partner with the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, The Salvation Army, Monticello Area Community Action Agency and similar organizations dedicated to providing hope where it is most needed. We are pleased to assist the efforts of Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry, Inc. with our support and acknowledgment of their dedication to bring quality food to the hungry in our community."
